Metal letters are manufactured from raw ingot alloyed in the following materials:


Cast Bronze
Copper Development Assoc. Alloy C92200; 88% copper, 6% tin, 4% zinc, 2% lead.
Yellow Brass
Alloy # 406;  58% copper, 40% zinc, less than 1% each tin and lead.
Aluminum - Satin or Baked Enamel Finishes
Cast from Aluminum Association Alloy Designation C443.2.
Aluminum - Anodized Finishes
Cast from Aluminum Association Alloy Designation A514.2.
Copper - Satin or Polished Finishes
Cast from Copper Association Alloy

Helpful Hints

  • Both cast bronze and cast brass letters are protected with a clear protective coating prior to shipping, however, cast brass is not recommended for exterior use.
  • Although casting alloys of aluminum can be anodized, because of the inherent nature of the sand casting process, an anodized finish is not recommended for cast products.
