Cast plaques are photographically reproduced from typeset letterstyles.  As a result of this technology, practically any letterstyle (or artwork) can be incorporated into a cast plaque.

Raised vs. Recessed Graphics

The casting process creates plaques with 2 levels of graphics - raised and recessed.  Graphic images are raised .100" from the background texture.  Letters can be recessed on a cast plaque if the narrowest stroke of the letters is at least 1/8" at all points or serifs. When raised text is desired, the smallest recommended character height is 1/4".  The quality and definition of the letters may be compromised if configurations smaller than these recommendations are used.

If Pacific Bronze is doing the artwork, typically a Palatino, Times Roman, or Helvetica font will be used, However, we can cast virtually any letterstyle imaginable as long it meets certain requirements (described above) for a' clean' casting.
